Date: Saturday, March 23, 2019

Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

This event is for TEENS ONLY, grades 9–12., and will be staffed by Museum employees, vetted volunteers, and our building’s security team.

Teen Night is brought to you by the Museum’s Teen Council.

Answers to some questions you might have about the night:

  • What will I do?
    • HOOPS and Flickering Treasures exhibitions will be open 6–8 pm.
      • Our Teen Council designed a fun scavenger hunt inspired by both.
    • At 7:30 pm we’ll screen Pixar Shorts Collection – Volume 3; chips, popcorn, and candy provided
    • Throughout the evening you can:
      • Animate your artwork using a zoetrope
      • Strike a pose in our photobooth
      • Challenge your friends to giant Uno or other card games
      • Build with legos and super-diskits
      • Or just hang out in our Great Hall
  • Is there food? Should I bring money?
    • We’ll have snacks provided by Geppetto Catering. None of our food contains nuts and there are vegetarian options. We’ll also have popcorn, chips, and candy for the movie.
    • No need to bring money, Teen Night is absolutely free.
      • If you want something different to eat you may want to have some pocket money for any food places near the Museum on 7th
  • How do we get to the Museum? Where can I meet my teen when it’s finished?
    • The entrance just off 5th Street will be the main entrance for the night.
    • Check out our website for additional travel instructions for Metro train or bus, and by car.
    • Teen Night ends at 9pm. You can meet you teen inside or outside of the Museum.
  • I’m an adult bringing my teen(s) to Teen Night, what can I do?
    • You’re welcome to check out what’s happening, but this event is for teens only. The Museum is staffed with adults who have a lot of experience working with youth.
    • Teens may arrive on their own, they do not need to be dropped off by an adult.
