Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

You, your friends, and a pile of cardboard: how will you build the best fort? Design and construct an impenetrable fortress then compete against neighboring kingdoms to see which team reigns supreme!

  • Prizes awarded for most creative and sturdiest forts.
  • Free food and music all night.

Teens who wish to participate in fort building should arrive by 6:45 pm. Fort building teams are 10 people – you can make a team with friends old or new as you arrive and check in. Limit is 10 teams (100 youth) and first come first served. There is plenty to do for people who don’t want to build forts or arrive later, like design challenges and other games.

This event is for TEENS ONLY, ages 13 – 18, and will be staffed by Museum employees, vetted volunteers, and our building’s security team.

Fort Night is brought to you by the Museum’s Teen Council. Contact teenprograms@nbm.org with questions or if you need more information about the night.

This event is FREE, but an RSVP is requested.

This event is free for teens to attend. If you’d like to make a donation to the Museum to support current and future programming like this for youth, you may do so here.
