We’ve teamed up with the DC Public Library to offer reading lists and programming that connect to their summer reading theme of Build a Better World.
Inspired by the Museum’s exhibitions and collections, each book selected complements the stories we tell about architecture, engineering, and design.
Win prizes and further explore the theme through DC Public Library’s summer reading challenges and programming.
D.C. residents are invited to visit the Museum exhibitions, including Hive, with complimentary admission from 9–11 am on their specific Ward Days:
July 18 : Wards 3 and 8
July 25: Wards 1 and 6
August 1: Wards 4 and 2
August 8: Wards 5 and 7
At each Ward Day, DC Public Library will provide story time and mobile library book check-out. Story times are 9:30 am and 10:30 am and include books, songs and fun activities that promote a love a learning and early literacy for children, birth to five years old.
