Become a major donor to the National Building Museum and help advance the quality of the built environment through public education.

As an Industry Partner you will:

Invest in educating the public about your field.

From sustainability to historic preservation to cutting-edge architecture, the National Building Museum’s programs motivate people to make improvements in their lives and communities.  We engage young people with the exciting world of the building industry and the role they can play in its future.  We reach out to industry professionals, policymakers, and the general public.

Participate in our new Industry Council for the Built Environment and meet other leaders improving the world we build.

The Industry Council offers a neutral forum for discussion and collaboration among local and national leaders in the building industry. It presents thought leaders from government, academia and the industry to provide a launch pad for discussion. It gives members an opportunity to share ideas and plans with Museum staff for future programming and events.

Enjoy the benefits of a customized partnership.

We negotiate a tailored agreement to meet your needs and level of support that can offer event opportunities in our historic home, strategic marketing and outreach, client and employee benefits, and association with the nation’s only museum dedicated to the built environment.

  • Marketing & Communications
    Industry Partners gain recognition and visibility through marketing materials, electronic communications, and outreach to media and government.  The Museum has more than 400,000 annual visitors, 5,000 members, and 2 million online visitors.
  • Networking & Events
    Industry Partners are invited to the Museum’s private events to access networking opportunities and meet thought leaders.  They may wish to use the Museum’s exquisite facilities for meetings, presentations, and special events, including the Great Hall (site of 16 presidential inaugural balls), the historic Pension Commissioner’s Suite, and the Auditorium.
  • Employee & Client Benefits
    Industry Partners and their employees are entitled to discounts and passes to public programs, as well as discounts in the award-winning Museum Shop, known for its range of books and cutting-edge design items.

Industry Partners can select programs and giving opportunities that resonate with their interests, including:

  • Membership in the Corinthians with extensive annual benefits;
  • Participation in the annual Honor Award gala, a leading industry event;
  • Sponsorship of an exhibition and its associated public outreach, such as Designing Tomorrow: America's World's Fairs of the 1930s or Designing for Disaster;
  • Sponsorship of youth education programs in Washington or by bringing programming to your local community.
