Grades PreK—1 School Groups

Choose one or more of these options for visiting the Museum.

 Green Schools

City by Design School Program (Kindergarten & older)
(2 hours, $100 fee, guided, includes complimentary exhibition tickets)
Students become city planners by planning, then constructing an imaginary city. Guided by a museum educator, students begin to see connections between school curriculum and community issues.

 My House, My Home School Program 2 My House, My Home School Program
(1.5 hours, $100 fee, guided, includes complimentary exhibition tickets)
Students explore the process, tools, and materials used to construct homes before building a home of their own. Guided by a museum educator students begin to see connections between school curriculum and their own community.

 Three Little Pigs Discovery Cart The Three Little Pigs Build a House Storybook Reading
(30-45 minutes, $35 fee, guided)
This activity will teach children about the basic components of building and will introduce a variety of materials needed for construction. Appropriate for children ages 3–5. Register.
   
 Patterns School Program Thumbnail

(45-90 minutes, $25 fee, self-guided)
Use this activity kit to teach and explore patterns in architecture in the Museum’s historic building. Email us for more information and to register.

   
 Students in Exhibition

Self-guided Exhibition Visit
($5 per person fee, self-guided)
Group rates are available for groups of ten people or more by making a reservation. The group fee includes admission to the Museum's exhibitions. Register.
