The Green House: New Directions in Sustainable Architecture and Design
May 20, 2006 - June 24, 2007

The National Building Museum is a preeminent venue for the presentation of topics that address sustainable design and energy-efficient building technologies and construction techniques. Through its ongoing lecture series, Building in the 21st Century, the Museum increases the public’s awareness of the need for environmentally sensitive design.

The Building in the 21st Century lecture series offers free noon-time lectures eight or nine times a year. Leading speakers from around the country discuss new technologies and construction techniques that are both energy-efficient and economical. Audio recordings of all lectures in the series are available on this site, as are illustrated summaries of selected lectures.
