DAP 17: Rack On!

Industrial Design for Public Spaces: Final Presentation

Design Apprenticeship Program

May 10, 2008

2:00 - 4:00

Presentations: 2:00 - 3:00 pm
Reception: 3:00 - 4:00 pm

DAP 17 teen participants tackled the role of the National Building Museum's Visitor Services and Education Departments. DAP 17 participants redesigned and constructed user-friendly and sustainable brochure racks for use in the Museum's Great Hall and classrooms. Volunteer design professionals worked closely with participants to help them fine tune their design skills, understand the concepts of sustainability, and incorporate aesthetics into the final design.

You are invited to see the teen designers present their newly constructed, redesigned brochure racks. Their clients in the Visitor Services and Education departments will choose the brochure racks that will be used in the Great Hall and Museum classrooms.

FREE. Registration not required.
