William L. Beiswanger, director of restoration for Monticello, and Richard Guy Wilson, Commonwealth Professor’s Chair in Architectural History at the University of Virginia, consider Andrea Palladio’s influences on the architecture of Thomas Jefferson, as seen at Jefferson’s home, Monticello, and at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville. National Building Museum curator Chrysanthe Broikos moderates. This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Palladio and His Legacy: A Transatlantic Journey, which will be open for viewing prior to the lecture.
