Greening the World’s Capital Cities: Building a City that Fosters our Green Goals

How can national capitals shape green cities that also are beloved urban centers? How do we build a city that fosters environmentally sound behavior? Larry Beasley, Distinguished Practice Professor of Planning at the University of British Columbia and retired director of planning for Vancouver explains how “experiential planning” can help national capitals become models for the best urbanism their countries have to offer. Founding members of the Capitals Alliance will provide closing remarks.
