Many are surprised to hear that Manhattan is considered of the greenest locations in the United States based on density, reliance on mass transit, and a small carbon footprint. Listen panelists describe their visions of a green New York. Panelists include Charlotte Matthews, Vice President of Sustainability, The Related Companies; Andy Wiley-Schwartz, Assistant Commissioner, New York City Department of Transportation; and Alex Washburn, Chief Urban Designer, New York City Department of City Planning.
