Creating Healthy Communities Q&A
Sustainable Communities
How can planners create healthy communities?
On April 2, 2009, Dr. Howard Frumkin, director of the National Center for Environmental Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, spoke at the Museum about how the built environment affects health in positive and negative ways. He also challenged architects, builders and developers to work more closely with the medical and public health fields to increase our understanding of the relationship between health and the built environment.
If you didn't get a chance to ask a question at the event, weren't able to attend at all, or would like to let a friend know about it, there are still opportunities to learn more from this expert. Dr. Frumkin will be taking additional questions between now and April 20 about creating healthy communities. Watch the video of his recent presentation.
