United Technologies Corporation (UTC) is a diversified company whose products include Carrier heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration; Otis elevators and escalators; UTC Fire & Security systems; UTC Power fuel cells; Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines; Sikorsky helicopters; and Hamilton Sundstrand aerospace systems and industrial products. Louis R. Chênevert was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of UTC in April 2008. Prior to that, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer and as a Director of United Technologies. From April 1999 through March 2006, he served as President of the Pratt & Whitney division of United Technologies.
