National Parking Association

The National Parking Association, established in 1951, is a network of companies representing all segments of the parking industry, including:

NPA’s mission is to serve as a resource to the parking industry and our members by offering access to quality education, networking opportunities, products and services. We serve as a clearinghouse for parking industry information, track federal legislation of interest to our members, sponsor an annual convention and trade show, and publish Parking magazine.

Publications –Parking magazine and NPA’s Between the Lines electronic newsletter helps members stay abreast of industry news and trends, incorporate new technologies, adopt best practices and run a smarter business. The Parking Show of Shows – NPA’s annual convention and exposition is the greatest annual gathering of industry professionals, exceptional speakers, and service-oriented exhibitors. We offer top-notch general sessions, interactive roundtables, innovative business sessions, and fun, friendly networking events.
Certified Parking Professional Program –This training program ensures comprehensive industry knowledge in the following areas: operations, design, regulations, loss prevention, safety, equipment, accounting, human resources, customer service, marketing, administration, maintenance and much more.
Parking Consultants Council – These NPA industry experts, primarily engineers and architects, are the voice of experience in design, construction and maintenance, and they are dedicated to building quality, efficiency and performance.
Grassroots Leadership – The NPA membership body is vibrant and dedicated, not just to their businesses and communities, but to the industry and their association. NPA encourages and recognizes the contributions from its member volunteers. They lead the charge on the NPA Strategic Plan initiatives. Several task forces are spearheading projects in the areas of communications, awards, benchmarking surveys, membership growth, mentoring, membership benefits and program promotion.
Association Leadership – Members striving to make a mark on the future of the industry seek active roles in NPA governance. Opportunities abound through service on NPA’s committees: The Certification Advisory Board, the Parking Industry Institute Board of Trustees, the Governmental, Institutional and Nonprofit Board of Governors, the Allied Division Board of Managers, the Nominating Committee, the Board of Directors and, of course, the Executive Committee.
Parking Industry Institute - The Parking Industry Institute provides financial assistance for higher education and awards members, their dependents and employees. Since its inception, more than $150,000 has been awarded.
