Spotlight on Design: SHoP/Sharples Holden Pasquarelli
Audio from the National Building Museum
Series: Spotlight on Design
Presented By: Greg Pasquarelli
Date Recorded: October 2, 2001
SHoP Architects contends that space and form result from the confluence of external forces into which architecture is inserted. Each project seeks to respond to these forces while attempting to maintain integrity and coherence. SHoP translates ideas into physical form by using three-dmiensional computer techniques with rapid prototyping and model building. Founding partner Greg Pasquarelli discusses SHoP’s provocative design approach and several recent projects, including the Me & Ro Store and the Museum of Sex, both in New York City.
