The forthcoming Intelligent Cities book looks at how we make decisions about where to live, how to get around, and what places we value. With contributions from experts in research, design, and the technology industry, Intelligent Cities offers an in-depth look at the questions that have shaped the ongoing Intelligent Cities initiative. The book assembles the writing and research of the Intelligent Cities outreach campaign; the discussions, presentations and questions from the Intelligent Cities Forum; and additional research on the history of technology and urban form. This includes research on the telephone, the computer, and mass media and their predicted impact on human settlement and society.
