Book a Party

Craft Activity parties last 2 hours and include a building orientation, a hands-on craft activity (each child takes home their project), and a birthday celebration. Complimentary exhibition tickets are provided for all guests so they may visit exhibitions following the conclusion of the party

Party Details  

For: children turning 3-11 years old
Length of party:  2 hours
See a list of available days and times
Child guest limit: 15, 20, or 30, depending upon the space available  

Program Fees 

Initial payment for up to 10 children: $250 for museum members (at the family-level or higher)
Additional children: Each additional child above the first 10 will be paid for on the day of the party. The fee for each additional child is $15.

    Castles
    Children have fun constructing a castle

    Castles and Crowns
    Have a royally fun time as you build your very own castle!  Guests learn about the parts of a castle and different kinds of castles through pictures and a storybook.  Each guest builds their dream castle, complete with towers, dragons, and gems!

    All Aboard! Train Construction
    Become an engineer and design a train! Guests participate in interactive storytelling about trains. After discovering all the different trains, each child constructs his/her own train using a variety of craft materials. Child engineers then “drive” their train along the on the train tracks on our colorful floor map.

    Tower Power
    What’s the tallest tower you can build? Children experiment with different materials to learn how skyscrapers stand up and how to make them taller and stronger. Then they put their new skills to work to design and construct a skyscraper out of craft supplies.

    Crazy Construction
    Create an extraordinary structure using shiny craft materials! Guests get a little silly during this party as they look at images of famous “crazy” buildings like those of Gaudi and Gehry. Children investigate what makes a building crazy then use an assortment of shiny craft materials to create their own crazy buildings.

     


    Book a Party

    1. Review our party policies and guidelines before booking. 

    2. Check our calendar of available dates and times. We are currently accepting reservations through September 2013.

    3. Complete the party request form at least 3 weeks before your desired date. After you fill out the registration form, the availability of your selected date and time will be reviewed by Museum staff. If the date and time you selected are available, you will receive an email with payment instructions. A party is confirmed when a date and time has been agreed upon and payment has been received.
