Reflections on an Architect and His Legacy
Palladio and His Legacy: A Translatlantic Journey, on view at the National Building Museum from September 2, 2010 through January 30, 2011, offers a rare opportunity to see some of the most important drawings in the world of architecture—thirty-one 16th century works from the hand of the Italian Renaissance master Andrea Palladio.
Co-curator Charles Hind (associate director and H.J. Heinz Curator of Drawings, Royal Institute of British Architects, British Architectural Library) and Palladian scholar Howard Burns (president, Scientific Committee, International Center for Palladian Studies in Vicenza, Italy) visited the Museum for the exhibition opening. National Building Museum curator Chrysanthe Broikos interviewed them about Palladio's singular importance in the history of architecture.
