Theresa Sheils

Theresa

Theresa Sheils, a principal in Gensler’s Washington, D.C. office, excels at managing large project and consultant teams, as well as leading clients with multiple stakeholders involved in the process. She has worked on some of the Southeast region’s most complex architecture and interior design projects. Her portfolio spans domestic and international projects including International Motorsports Corporation; PNC Financial Services; Duke Kunshan University in Kunshan, China; and two high-rise towers in one of the premiere sites in the New Beijing Central Business District.

Theresa led the team for PNC Place in Washington, D.C., a LEED® Platinum regional headquarters that has earned 11 design awards and was named Best New Office Building in Washington, D.C. A proponent of sustainable design, Theresa works with her clients and team members to develop high-performance design solutions that use leading technology to reduce energy use and mitigate negative effects on the environment.

A registered architect and LEED®-Accredited Professional, she graduated from Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.  Sheils is a member of the American Institute of Architecture, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
