Jamee Telford serves as the director of Visitor Services. She is responsible for maximizing visitors’ enjoyment at the Museum, which includes making the best use of the Museum’s volunteers and interns. She was promoted to her current position after serving as the Museum’s Outreach Programs manager. There she provided leadership for all aspects of outreach education initiatives, and she was the lead instructor for the Design Apprenticeship Program and Investigating Where We Live. Prior to coming to the Museum, she worked as the curator of education for the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art where she directed interactive, hands-on, exhibition-based lessons for middle and high school students. Ms. Telford has also taught at elementary, middle, and high school programs for the National Building Museum, Washington National Cathedral, and the International Spy Museum. Ms. Telford has a B.A. in History and Communications from St. Gregory’s University and a M.A.T. in Museum Education from The George Washington University.
