Christine Edstrom O'Hara

Christine

On the faculty at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, professor Christine Edstrom O’Hara has lectured both nationally and internationally on landscape preservation as well as its application to sustainable landscape design and construction. She has published articles in The Journal for the Society of Architectural Historians, Pacific Horticulture, and Shaping the American Landscape. She also practices landscape architecture and historic landscape restoration. Ms. O’Hara holds degrees from Stanford University in English and from the University of Washington in Landscape Architecture and Preservation Planning. In 2002, she received the Douglas Dockery Thomas Fellowship in Garden History to study the regional design of Palos Verdes Estates and Balboa Park in California.
