Robyn Stone, DrPH, is the senior vice president for Research at LeadingAge where she oversees its Center for Applied Research. Her group evaluates and translates evidence-based approaches to developing and sustaining a quality aging services system. Her recent work includes evaluating nursing home quality improvement initiatives, examining the factors associated with a quality long-term care workforce and assessing the impact of models of housing and services targeted to low-income older adults.
She was the Assistant Secretary for Aging and Deputy Assistant Secretary, Disability, Aging and LTC Policy during the Clinton Administration. Dr. Stone is an internationally recognized expert in long-term care, and recently published Long-Term Care for the Elderly (Urban Institute Press)—a primer for policymakers, providers, consumers, and researchers.
