Megan J. Cummings, AICP has considerable experience in parking, transportation master planning and transportation impact studies for both the public and private sectors. She specializes in evaluating and forecasting parking supply and demand for facilities for university campuses, mixed-use developments, transit oriented sites, institutional campuses, and business districts. Prior to joining Gorove/Slade Associates, Inc., Ms. Cummings worked at Fehr & Peers in Santa Monica, CA. Projects Ms. Cummings has been involved with include entertainment complexes, universities, small and large commercial facilities, residential developments, and mixed-use developments.

Conducted surveys, developed parking model by user type, and created long-range parking plans for University of Southern California (USC) University Park Campus Master Plan. Other southern California institution parking studies include Mount St. Mary’s College Doheny campus, San Bernardino Valley College, USC Health Sciences campus and Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center. Assisted with American University Sustainability Analysis, Georgetown University Bus Depot Analysis, and Howard University student transportation survey.
Mixed-use and Commercial Developments
Completed "State of the Commute Report" for Potomac Yards in Arlington, VA. Wrote white paper on transportation demand analysis for an innovative mixed-use concept in White Flint, MD. Conductedtransportation impact analysis for the Metropolitan Park Phase 3 development in Arlington, VA and I-395 Air Rights development in Washington, DC. Conducted various traffic impact analyses for mixed-use, park, and hospital projects in Los Angeles, CA, including NBC Universal Master Plan. Performed shared parking analyses for mixed-use projects in downtown Long Beach, Los Feliz Village near Hollywood, and downtown Hawthorne,CA.

Conducted traffic impact and pedestrian study for Lord & Taylor in Washington, DC. Performed parkingdemand studies for Westfield Valencia Towne Center in Santa Clarita, CA and the Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, CA.
Municipal and State
Executed traffic impact analysis for Environmental Impact Report documentation for Alhambra West Main Corridor project in Alhambra, CA. Directed countywide survey of medical services industry and impact on adjacent land uses in Los Angeles County, CA. Conducted parking occupancy and management studies in the Little Italy business district of San Diego.
