Gingerbread Workshop in The WETA Guide to Christmas
In December 2007, the Museum's ever popular Gingerbread Workshop, which quickly sold out again this season, was filmed as part of The WETA Guide to Christmas program that premiered on Thanksgiving night. This new one-hour WETA TV 26 production offers a host of ideas about how to enjoy — and spread — some Christmas cheer in Washington during the holiday season, spotlighting everything from sing-a-longs to the best neighborhood Christmas lights, from onstage performances to children's activities. Explore holiday preparations and decorations throughout the Washington area and visit locations including Union Station, Mount Vernon and the White House. The National Building Museum is featured about 33 minutes into the program.
In addition to the premier broadcast of The WETA Guide to Christmas on WETA TV 26, the documentary will also air on Wednesday, December 17 at 10 pm; Sunday, December 21 at 4:30 pm; Tuesday, December 23 at 10 pm; Wednesday, December 24 at 4:30 pm; and Thursday, December 25 at 7:30 am.
