Green Community Featured on NBC 4: News Release

The National Building Museum's exhibition, Green Community, was featured in a segment on NBC 4 News at 5 on May 19, 2009. NBC's Wendy Rieger highlighted the kid-friendly aspects of Green Community in the segment. She interviewed some of the Museum's young visitors and caught them exploring the interactive elements and learning about new ways to live green.

Visit NBC's website and see the segment.

Green Community is the first major exhibition in the United States to explore the complex process of creating and sustaining healthy communities. Beyond bamboo floors and fluorescent light bulbs, Green Community looks at how communities large and small are changing their global impact. On display for an entire year from October 23, 2008 through October 25, 2009, Green Community is the third in the National Building Museum's series of exhibitions that focus on sustainability in architecture, planning, and design.

The National Building Museum is America’s leading cultural institution dedicated to advancing the quality of the built environment by educating people about its impact on their lives. Through its exhibitions, educational programs, online content, and publications, the Museum has become a vital forum for the exchange of ideas and information about the world we build for ourselves.
