From the restoration of in New York's Bryant Park Bryant Park, which has become a model for environmental, social, and economic sustainability to the landscape of the Washington Monument's 72-acre grounds that serve a vital cultural and civic role, providing a public space for demonstrations, celebrations, and recreation for millions of people annually, OLIN is recognized for innovative and sustainable place making.
Principals Laurie Olin, FASLA, professor, author, and one of the most renowned landscape architects practicing today; and David A. Rubin, ASLA, known for integrating his fine arts background with an interest in the natural world, discuss their work and philosophy on landscape and design that has guided the Philadelphia-based firm for more than 30 years. A book signing follows the lecture.
