Announcement of 2007 Honor Award

The National Building Museum will recognize Related, an industry-leading, fully-integrated real estate development firm, for the company’s positive and significant contribution to the built environment at an exclusive gala on June 14, 2007. The event, to be held in the Museum’s historic Great Hall, will be attended by industry leaders in architecture, development, construction, and real estate. Chairman and Founder of Related Companies Stephen M. Ross and Chairman of The Related Group Jorge M. Perez will accept the award. New York City’s Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding Daniel L. Doctoroff, Time Warner Center architect David M. Childs, FAIA, of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, and Bernardo Fort-Brescia, architect and principal of Arquitectonica will present tributes at the ceremony.

Related is being honored for their promotion of architecture and design excellence in new development; their commitment to high-profile, transformative urban mixed-use projects; their leadership in the creation and management of affordable housing across the nation; and their legacy of innovative business strategies that have become models for economic development and community revitalization.

The National Building Museum’s Honor Award was instituted in 1986 to recognize individuals and organizations that have made important contributions to our nation’s built environment.
