Edward Durell Stone: A Son’s Untold Story of a Legendary Architect

Lecture and book-signing presented by the National Building Museum


WHAT
Edward Durell Stone is the architect of Radio City Music Hall, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Kennedy Center and was an early proponent of modern architecture in the United States. Hicks Stone, Edward Durell Stone’s youngest son and author of his biography, will lecture on the breadth of his father’s life and career.

Following the lecture, Mr. Stone will sign copies of Edward Durell Stone: A Son’s Untold Story of a Legendary Architect (Rizzoli). Edward Durell Stone’s work on the Kennedy Center appears in the exhibition Unbuilt Washington, which will be open for viewing prior to the lecture.
