WHO /WHAT
As part of Spotlight on Design, the National Building Museum's internationally recognized lecture series, the Museum welcomes Brenda Levin, FAIA, founding principle of the Los Angeles-based architecture firm Levin & Associates. She will discuss her firm's role as an active problem-solver in the complex urban center of Los Angeles and demonstrate the important role of preserving the built past. Founded in 1980, the firm has received worldwide attention for its historic preservation work on some of Los Angeles' most-beloved landmarks. With the award-winning restoration of the Los Angeles City Hall, the Bradbury Building, and the Griffith Observatory, among other projects, the firm has played an important role in revitalizing the metropolis. Following the program, she will sign copies of her book Levin and Associates Architects: Selected and Current Works (Images).
