National Building Museum Names Six to its Board of Trustees
National Building Museum chair Whayne S. Quin announces the appointment of six new Museum trustees. The following individuals joined the board of trustees for three-year terms:
- Oliver Biebuyck – senior vice president of marketing and key accounts, Lafarge US
- Thomas Glass – founder and principal, Glass Construction, Inc.
- Anthony Wolf Greenberg – vice president, The JBG Companies
- James Jaska – president, Americas and Government, AECOM
- Joe Pauley – general manager, Andersen Corporation, EMCO Enterprises, Inc.
- Gerald Sigal – chairman, SIGAL Construction Corporation
“Our new trustees bring fresh ideas and energy to the Board’s efforts to advance the Museum’s mission,” said Whayne S. Quin, chair of the Board of Trustees.
“We are grateful to our new trustees for their commitment to the Museum and its future,” said Museum president and executive director Chase W. Rynd.
Oliver Biebuyck
Olivier Biebuyck is the senior vice president of marketing and key accounts for Lafarge US and member of its executive committee. Before being appointed senior vice president marketing and key accounts for the US, Olivier was the president of the cement business unit covering the Midwest. Prior to that position, he was the president and CEO of Systech Environmental Corporation. Prior to joining Lafarge, Olivier was a senior management consultant with the management firm McKinsey & Company.
Olivier was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. He graduated from Solvay, the top Belgian business school, with a master degree in business and administration, concentrated in Finance.
Thomas Glass
Thomas Glass is founder and principal of Glass Construction, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based construction company. Glass’ work has been published in a wide variety of magazines and newspapers including Architectural Digest, Metropolitan Home, Preservation Magazine, Inc. Magazine, the Washingtonian, and the Washington Post. Glass is also committed to the community, serving on the Leadership Council of the Patricia N. Sitar Center for the Arts, an after school arts enrichment program for at-risk children in Columbia Heights and Adams Morgan.
Glass trained as a fine artist at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Andrews University, and at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Anthony Wolf Greenberg
Anthony Wolf Greenberg is a vice president and development manager at The JBG Companies. Prior to joining JBG, he was a developer at Clark Realty Capital, L.L.C. where he was involved in multifamily, mixed-use, hotel and military family housing projects, and, as a LEED® Accredited Professional, directed Clark Realty’s sustainability initiatives.
Greenberg received his bachelors degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, and holds advanced degrees from the University of Virginia and Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
James Jaska
James Jaska is president, Americas and government operations for AECOM Technology Corporation. Jaska is also a member of AECOM’s Enterprise Management Team and the Operations Committee. Prior to joining AECOM, Jaska was with Tetra Tech, Inc. Before joining Tetra Tech, Jaska held several operations and management positions at Alliant Techsystems, Inc. Jaska began his professional career with Ecolab where he managed regulatory affairs dealing with production of specialty chemicals, pesticides, and veterinary drugs.
Jaska received his bachelors and masters degrees from Western Illinois University, and participated in the Executive Management Program at Harvard University.
Joe Pauley
Joe Pauley is general manager of the Andersen Storm Door Division of Andersen Corporation. Pauley joined Andersen in 2005 after a seventeen year career with Wirsbo (now Uponor). Pauley held multiple leadership positions at Uponor including sales, operations and business development and served as the company’s President from 2001 to 2005.
Pauley received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Iowa and his masters of business administration from Saint Thomas University in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Gerald Sigal
Gerald Sigal is the founder and chairman of SIGAL Construction Corporation. Gerry’s career spans more than 50 years, starting with a 17-year tenure with Tishman Realty Construction Company of New York and culminating with the establishment of his own general contracting company in 1977.
Sigal received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from NYU and a construction management AAS degree from New York City College of Technology.
