National Building Museum Online Evolves
As announced this past spring, the National Building Museum is no longer publishing its magazine, Blueprints, in print form. So, you may be wondering, what is to become of the content that was previously disseminated through the magazine? Rest assured that you will continue to receive the in-depth articles and other information that Blueprints delivered, albeit in different formats.
Over the next few months, we will be making some changes to National Building Museum Online, gradually incorporating some of the material that previously appeared only in Blueprints. For instance, in this edition of National Building Museum Online, you will notice an article about the work of Camilo José Vergara, whose photographs of storefront churches are currently on view at the Museum. This type of article, which would have been a lead feature in Blueprints, is a more extensive piece than has typically been included in National Building Museum Online in the past. Similar articles on thematic topics will be incorporated into future editions of National Building Museum Online.
You will also notice that this issue includes an installment of the popular Mystery Building challenge, previously published only in Blueprints. From now on, the Mystery Building feature will alternate with the Building Brain Buster. Answers to the Building Brain Buster will be available immediately through a link to our website, while answers to the Mystery Building challenge will appear in the installment two months later, when the new challenge is posted.
